Nowadays it is not weird to watch people talking to their phones and devices. Today's people are multi-taskers and online almost all of the time.
They communicate with their colleagues, their family, friends, bosses, neighbors, etc.
Constant and floating communication has become part of everyday life. Add in the mixture the arrival of A.I. (artificial intelligence) and things become even more complicated!
AI holds a great promise for everyone. Imagine talking to your device to find about whatever you want or learn things on the go. No need to visit endless websites or even bother search for something online. Your personal assistant will help you through.
Online reservations, finding your favorite lyrics to a song you like, reminders to take your medicine, reports about the weather, instant messaging with the help of your voice, map-guiding, instructions to make or craft anything you put your mind on ..and what more!
Seems like sci-fi movies are becoming more and more a reality. A reality to which we have to adjust.
And here comes the one-million question: How you adjust a mindset of at least 200 years that is/was based on capitalism, fierce antagonism and profit by all means to a greener and lighter economy and technology?
An economy/technology based on AI, and automation? An economy and a civilization in which man and nature are in perfect harmony with eachother? A way of living in which you don't have to work because most work is done by machines and AIs. A way of life in which people are not essential anymore for the survival of the system.. because the system is easy-flowing, resource-conscious and efficiency-aiming. And most of all.. autonomous!
What if these AIs turn against humanity? What if they develop a need to survive as if they were real entities?
Lastly, we will have to get accustomed to being watched -- ALWAYS !
Some applications of AI implementation into our lives could be:
1) autonomous field irrigation
2) crime-prevention through mind-reading
3) gradual abolishment of schooling and formal types of education
4) self - building and repairing homes and products, 3d-printing , smart homes..
5) healing of diseases just with the help of frequencies or artificial stimulation of brain regions
6) flying cars, autonomous driving cars
7) personal jet-packing aircraft
8) super fast transportation
... and more!
This technology is smart indeed. But this means that we are getting dumber and dumber with each passing day...
Any answer(s)?
