Why I don't post my Teacher Achievements

photo: Miesha Moriniere We live in a modern world where everything is falling apart. We live in a society where we witness constant and everyday attacks on core values and principles. On our ideals. When everyone is looking for the opportunity to attack another based on political correctness or their beliefs I will not give them any more ground for interaction! That's why I don't post my achievements and especially "teacher moments" or (my) students online. Why should I? To brag? To show others that I am proud of them? To showcase all the gifts I have received from them and their parents (and I can reassure you I have received many)? To show off all the drawings they have given me? (which I also have many of) Is this what will make me a good teacher? Will online social media posting draw me into the category of exemplar teachers? Absolutely not.. ! Posting my whole (teacher) life on the social media? Who gives a $h!T about what I do as a teacher? I

General Guidelines for Safe Web Surfing

Photo by: rawpixel.com There are some rules that we should always follow in order to make our web-surfing experience for our children and us all the more fun and as much safe as possible. Let's begin..! 1) Never add people or friends whom you don't actually know in real life as your social media, game platform friends or online "buddies". 2) Never reveal personal information online to strangers. Such personal information can/could include: your street address, surname, mobile phone, email, social security numbers, the name of your pet, which school you go at, names of places you frequent, etc 3) Never feel intimidated by strangers online asking you personal information or for personal photos "or else..". 4) Always tell your caretaker, an experienced adult such as your teacher or your parents if a person online bullies you, threatens you, harasses you, asks you for personal information or to harm yourself or asks you to meet somewhere in p

Practical Ways for not Stressing Out Before A Test

Hi there! Our blog post today is intended to help you out in times when you find yourself stressing, huffing and puffing before a (final, maybe?!) test! We will present you with simple, practical ways by which you can save time and energy and not fall into the "panic trap" before a test. 1. Study during all year, months and weeks leading to the exam and make sure you don't have any questions on the subject. If you don't understand some points of the lesson, then don't be shy! Raise your hand and ask your teacher.. or you fellow student(s)! 2. Divide the subject into smaller parts that you can digest more easily. Make headlines, highlight key words, write a comprehension of what you read, explain what you know and /or have read with your own words.. to someone you know --- eg your pet, a friend, a brother, etc. 3. Read the already solved sample exercises, applications of theory, etc. 4. Test yourself! Make "yes-no" answers to various questi

Mars Rx: Seething with Anger

photo: rawpixel.com Planet Mars entered his Rx (retrograde) zone in May 13th, 2018 in the sign of Capricorn. He then turned retrograde on June 27th, 2018 in the sign of Aquarius. On 28th of August, Mars turns Stationary Direct in Capricorn and on October 9t, 2018 he leaves the Rx zone in the sign of Aquarius. This is my take on Mars in the signs of Capricorn and Aquarius. Brewing below the surface... When Mars turns Rx, all subjects governed by the red planet somehow get a bit stalled. For example we may come across (Mars) themes such as: frequent headaches, difficulties/injuries at sports, petty quarrels out of nowhere, iron deficiency problems in the blood, anger bursts out in unexpected and inappropriate ways, hostilities between nations/countries/armies/political parties, etc Also, we might be seething in anger and the Rx period is a good time to turn inwards, do inner healing work and anger control checks, examine the source of our frustration etc. Usually it is

Astrology and Artificial Intelligence

photo:  Noel_Bauza Astrology works very well in predicting the future.. to a great extent. However, people have their own free will and can steer the wheel of fortune accordingly. Astrology also works if you study it, understand it well and are a good observer of everyday life details and people's character and experiences ( human nature ). I am not talking about the commercial use of astrology which you find in cheap magazines and newspapers columns. I am talking about REAL, true ASTROLOGY! But maybe there is another factor, too, there! And we must pay some attention. What if there is a system set in place and which is "programmed" to generate events, weather conditions, diseases, ideas, trends, etc using the tool of psychology (behavior prediction - modification) AND astrology? This system could very well rely on quantum calculations and algorithms! I am talking here about Artificial Intelligence. How can we discriminate which is which? Where
